It is the Big Brownie Birthday and Brownies are 100 years old! Durham South set their own challenge and we decided to take it. We made things, ate things and learnt things. Here are just a few of the activities we got up to.
One of the challenges is to make edible toadstools. We decided to combine this with making easter nests as we are approaching Easter.
The toadstools are made out of red and white icing which was moulded to make the main shape, and then topped with icing spots. The nests were made out of shredded wheat and chocolate with mini eggs and a chick added for decoration.
We also made Empire biscuits and Guatemalan worry dolls – let’s hope they work.
We did some good turns for our friends and family too.
